Simple and authentic! We’re not talking about this intimate wedding but about a delicate bride and a lovely groom.
Read about Chris and Sophie who flew to Tuscany with their families to celebrate with simplicity their Catholic wedding.

The planning started many months before the great day, all in time to plan everything in detail. And after months and tons of emails, the great day arrived at last.

In person they were so delicate and bright. And the same way they wanted their wedding to be!

They chose a small renewed old monastery for their stay. Olive groves surrounded the property, just as many of you expect Tuscan countryside to be! And it was so..relaxing and inmersed in pure nature and in the end near the lovely medieval town of Cortona in South-East Tuscany.

They started in the morning getting ready at the Monastero. Sophie had a sleeveless 50’s style wedding dress with an ivory elbow length veil. He wore a royal blue tailcoat in perfect English style. The flowers chosen for the entire day reflected their style.
White roses brightened the bridal bouquet of wild flowers. Eryngium, lisianthus, delphinum and veronica flowers with their blue and violet shades perfectly matched with the white of the roses.

When the bride reached the church, all was ready for the ceremony. A organ and a voice introduced the bride and her father and our priest Don Louis conducted a moving ceremony… singing also the song “Let It Be” by the Beatles..looked like he wanted to add his personal touch to the traditional ceremony! And he did it well!
The church then was a real jewel located in a quiet part of the town like if the couple and their guests only could be the spectators.

After the cermony and group photos, the couple reached the centre of the town where the reception started! The aperitif took place in a terrace overlooking the main town square at the acustic sound of a young swing band while the reception was organised in a inner room exclusively rented for our Chris and Sophie. After that…dances and relaxed moment gained the upper hand!

The weather couldn’t be more amazing! A clear-blue sky and a shining sun blessed them all day on their late October Tuscan Wedding!

My best wishes to Chris, Sophie, their lovely mothers and families! Hope to see them again in the streets of Cortona!
