Rebecca and Robert’s romantic wedding day began on the morning of the 24th of May 2014.

It was a cool morning  that turned into a lovely sunny day.

The ladies began their preparation early in the morning: the bridesmaids were wearing beautiful long violet dresses as the bride slipped on her stunning white lace mermaid dress with a ribbon on the back.
The colors that the bride and groom chose for their wedding day were violet and yellow.
The groom was wearing a blue suit with a violet colored tie which perfectly complimented the dresses the bridesmaids were wearing. Sunflower bouquets for the bridesmaids’ seemed like the perfect choice for a Tuscan wedding!

The guests and groom made their way to the town hall in the pretty hilltop town of Cortona for the most important moment of Becca and Rob’s lives!

Emotion was tangible in the air, the string quartet was playing soft music in the background and the moment when these two beautiful people were finally united in marriage was absolutely magical!
It was amazing to see this lovely couple come out of the town hall and into the sun at the top of the giant staircase, and then enjoy their 180 guests on the way down into the main square of Cortona. Moreover, it was a special day for the town as well and, as Becca and Rob reached the bottom step, a group of drummers dressed in historic costumes entered the square…we must admit…this wasn’t planned but it turned out to be the perfect music for that moment!

After having had their first toast in Cortona the happy couple drove around the enchanting Tuscan countryside and had a bit of fun during their photo-shoot!
In the meantime the aperitif in the Villa’s garden  had just began, and was set up following Becca and Rob’s wishes.

After the informal aperitif, the guests moved to the veranda offering magnificent views of the Valdichiana valley. This area had been decorated with balloon lights and stings of fairy lights going from the center of the room to all four corners; the eighteen tables were set up with white tablecloths, violet napkins and small bottles of yellow Limoncello liquor as wedding favors. Colorful flowers in silver vases gave that perfect finishing touch to each table, making it feel bright and fresh.
The tables had been been labelled with the names of Italian towns written on rustic cards just to give them that finishing country-chic touch! These cards, the menus and the table seating plan were designed and created by the lovely Becca, who is not only a wonderful designer but also a very creative and splendid writer.
Finally, Becca and Rob had some very original and fun placeholders…photos of each guest! The perfect way for everyone to find their seat quickly!

A Photo Booth corner where the guests could take some funny shots was set up near the tables whilst outside was a sweets corner with cute little phrases we loved, such as “Keep falling in love…at every bite!”

Everything went smoothly, from Becca and Rob’s arrival, to their private photo-shoot in the Tuscan countryside, to the aperitif, the dinner and their very fun and original cheesecake which was actually a wheel of cheese!
