They flew to Tuscany to become one only family! Of course they were already and their lovely sweet daughter is witness of this. But to properly celebrate their love, they chose a different place to do it and Tuscany was their dream!

When Nicola and James firstly came to Cortona, they didn’t know this town. But they suddenly understood this was to be their special place in Tuscany for their civil union! As all of you, Florence, Siena, the Chianti represent Tuscany! But not all of you know Cortona which is different from these other places for many points!
Cortona is a town on top of a hill, not cahotic, mainly pedestrian and most of all small! And its splendid view over the Tuscan countryside and the Umbrian lake Trasimeno, makes it perfect for a relaxing walk!
Other than this Cortona is the favourite town for the giant staircase of the town hall! It’s a dream for every bride and the perfect “entrance” to the square for a newly wedded couple! On the other the lovely small central way to get from the town hall to the panoramic square.
The way itself is so lively that people are eager to congratulate with you while walking down in your elegant wedding dress! 🙂 Well the reasons why Cortona is so perfect for intimate weddings in Tuscany is to be found in the numerous restaurants and bars. All can offer a different view of the town in its different shapes and colours throughout the day! Always so alive that looks a different town each time!
And you know? Trusting the locals you’ll discover real pearls of history like the Celle of San Francesco which Nicola and James visited after the ceremony during some private moments together! The Ape Calessino, so fun and enjoyable led them inside the woods until this beautiful monastery where San Francis of Assisi lived for a period in his life. A really enchanting place with a waterfall, peaceful corners and a magic wood around! But this was just the beginning of their intimate wedding in Tuscany! The couple reached their guests at a lovely restaurant inside the centre with a splendid terrace overlooking the main square. After tha, a perfect Tuscan dinner followed by a creamy tiered wedding cake could not miss! And of course also dances!!
This is the wedding day of Nicola and James, and we hope we made their “Midsummer Night’s Dream” real..
