2019 Wedding Trends  – PH: Beatrice Moricci

Are you getting married in 2019?

Now that we are at the end of 2018, it is time to look at the hottest wedding trends for 2019.

Wedding trends in 2019 will bring metallics, color and big florals into next year’s wedding style and design. From textured walls and place settings, to balloons and macarons, it will be a unique year filled with bright colors, bright lights and bright ideas.

THE MEGHAN EFFECT – The wedding dress

It’s totally stating the obvious, but it has to be said. The Meghan Markle effect is going to be seen in weddings in 2019. Clean designs are still going strong and thanks to the Duchess of Sussex’s dress we see this trend continuing.

Recently there has been a “naked cake” craze, but now the “naked dress” has become the latest rage amongst wedding enthusiasts. Despite what its name eludes to, this dress is precisely the opposite. This trend is all about simplicity. Instead of all the glitz and glam, this wedding dress is understated so the focus can be on the beautiful, blushing bride. Simple has transformed into the new sophisticated.

BRIGHT COLOURS – The wedding decor

When it comes to decor options rose gold and blush are definitely on their way out. Bright and rich colours are what we are seeing for 2019. We have started to seen them in 2018 thanks to the most brave brides. You can incorporate these colours in all aspects of your wedding decor from table settings, candles, linens and florals.

Flowers are in and they are gonna be big! From sunflowers to peonies and dahlias, 2019 flowers will be bigger and brighter than before, and while the greenery garlands are here to stay, they will be coexisting with these large, bright blooms.

Turquoise is definitely one of the key colours for 2019.

The First Look

This latest trend allows couples to have a private moment together before the ceremony. Walking down the aisle can be quite intimidating, which is why couples are choosing to take the pressure off with a new tradition. Usually couples decide to capture the first look on camera so they can look back at their authentic reactions and do not rush for a shooting after the ceremony!

Welcome Boxes

The personalised wedding box is key for 2019, as you shower each guest in appreciation by giving them a one-of-a-kind welcome box. The most popular are baskets and personalised boxes that are filled with wine, Tuscan olive oil, Italian taralli, and wedding information for every guest to enjoy.
