Megan & Ian..from England to Tuscany for a traditional wedding!

This is the real wedding in Tuscany Italy of Megan and Ian, a young couple flown from England with their family and friends for a relaxed wedding in the countryside of Tuscany!

Why traditional? Because the venue they chose was able to accommodate them all, like a real family, all together for 3 days of festivities! And what about the style? Well a mix of it!

As said Megan and Ian for their wedding in Tuscany Italy chose a big venue, able to accommodate all guests attending! In fact the venue offered the right privacy to all of them with its almost 80 bed places in its different apartments. Then, the gardens of the villa together with wide spaces inside permitted 3 full days of festivities notwithstanding the menacing weather of May.

The style also matched with our bride and groom’s preferences! The villa presented a mix of them! A beautiful venue, rough and rustic outside but elegant and sought-after inside..able to mix pure tradition with elegant comforts thanks to the warm wooden forniture, lovely corners furnished with fireplace and antique barrels, canopy beds and the typical Tuscan stone walls outside! A real jewel of this region!

The morning started with a pale sun and even with menacing clouds at the horizon the atmosphere was easy and enjoyable..Megan was not a nervous bride I may say, but I’m not sure, she have to confirm it! Well as the time of the ceremony approached I think she could not believed this moment was really happening after months of planning! The getting ready was lovely with Megan’s maids and mother around for this important moment!

Easy and light-hearted as they were, the colours Megan and Ian chose as wedding theme, reflected the nature and the sun! White, yellow and green were mixed together! The flowers used were chamomile, white lisianthus, Billy balls, seasonal green and.. lemons! Yes lemons, not in the bouquet of course but their aroma characterised the dinner table set up with lemons used as place cards and as main flavour for a delicate 3 tiered wedding cake… beautiful to make a real wedding in Tuscany Italy sweeter!

But doing a step behind..we are ready for the ceremony!

Introduced by a song of Joshua Radin, Only You, Megan walked down the aisle with her father while Ian waited thrilled at the altar. He could barely keep a grip on his emotions (and me too) but you know, it’s one of the best day of everybody’s lives! 🙂

After the “I do’s”, the story it’s easy to tell! Our bride and groom, now husband and wife, enjoyed the rest of the day with a small escape in the surrounding countryside before joying their friends and family for joyful toasts, food, wine, laughs and romantic dances…
